Pauline Strasser

Pauline studied at the NSW State Conservatorium of Music and at the Ecole Mormale de Musique, Paris. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in both French and Music Performance. She has occupied all of the orchestral positions for both the Oboe and Cor Anglais in the ABC Orchestras and that of the National Opera and Ballet.

She has taught at the NSW State Conservatorium of Music, the Newcastle Conservatorium, the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium and in many schools.. Additionally, Pauline has tutored extensively at both National and Pan Pacific Music Camps, Taking chamber music classes and directing other ensembles.

Her experience covers a diverse range of musical areas including solo, orchestral and chamber music. She was an examiner for the AMEB as a woodwind specialist on flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone and bassoon. She also has experience in examining in piano and for groups. Her main areas of teaching are in oboe and bassoon, but Pauline is also an accomplished teacher of flute, saxophone, clarinet and piano. She also teaches reed making for all reed instruments.
