
Catherine Weaver
Catherine Weaver graduated with a distinction in Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying Recorder and Viola da Gamba.
As a specialist in the performance of period music, Catherine has performed with many early music ensembles in Sydney and The Blue Mountains. She has also toured for Musica Viva in regional areas.
She has recorded for radio ABC and 2MBS-FM and ABC Television, has been president of The Early Music Association of NSW and has examined for the Australian Music Examinations Board.
Catherine is also a qualified and experienced Primary and Infants school teacher having taught in several Sydney schools before specialising in private musical tuition in Sydney, then in The Blue Mountains and now in Marulan. Many of her students have participated in Recorder festivals in Sydney, Armidale and New Zealand. She currently teaches Recorder at the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium of Music, Wingello Public School, Tallong Public School and in Marulan.
Catherine is also sings and plays in performances by The Berrima Singers.
